1. Scope of This Policy

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed with Vesper Rouge through the website or through any authorised communication channel confirmed by Vesper Rouge in writing.

This Policy must be read together with the Terms of Service, Return and Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, and Contact Information document available on the website.

2. Nature of Vesper Rouge Orders

Vesper Rouge offers luxury apparel, including bespoke, made-to-order, limited-run, and order-specific pieces. Certain products may be produced, finished, quality checked, packed, or prepared only after order confirmation.

Because production and preparation may begin almost immediately after an order is placed, shipping timelines include reasonable time for order verification, manufacturing or finishing, quality inspection, packing, and courier handover.

3. Order Processing

Orders are processed after successful payment confirmation and internal order verification.

Verification of order details, payment status, contact information, delivery address, and product availability.
Production, finishing, sourcing, pressing, quality control, or packaging where required.
Dispatch preparation, courier booking, and shipment handover.
Vesper Rouge may contact the customer for clarification where address, size, payment, delivery, or order information is incomplete or inconsistent. Delay in customer response may affect dispatch or delivery timelines.

4. Domestic Shipping Within India

Domestic shipping within India is free for Vesper Rouge orders unless a different charge is expressly stated on the product page, checkout page, offer terms, or written communication from Vesper Rouge.

Domestic orders are usually delivered within approximately 1 week to 10 days from order confirmation, subject to product readiness, serviceability, courier operations, holidays, and other practical conditions.

5. International Shipping

International shipping is available only to selected serviceable countries and locations, subject to courier availability, customs rules, import restrictions, payment verification, and Vesper Rouge approval.

International shipping will incur an additional shipping fee of US$ 20 unless a different amount is displayed at checkout or confirmed in writing by Vesper Rouge.

International orders are usually delivered within approximately 14 to 21 days from order confirmation. This timeline is an estimate and may vary due to customs clearance, courier delays, import procedures, destination-country restrictions, public holidays, or circumstances beyond Vesper Rouge control.

6. Customs, Duties, and Destination Charges

For international orders, the customer is solely responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, local levies, brokerage charges, customs clearance charges, storage fees, destination-country charges, currency conversion charges, bank charges, and any similar charges imposed outside India.

Vesper Rouge cannot control customs assessment, duty calculation, import inspection, customs hold, or clearance timelines in the destination country.

If the customer refuses to pay customs duties, taxes, or destination charges, or refuses delivery, any courier charges, return charges, penalties, storage fees, customs charges, or losses may be deducted from any eligible refund, where permitted by law.

7. Delivery Timelines Are Estimates

The shipping timelines stated in this Policy are reasonable estimates and are not guaranteed delivery commitments.

Domestic shipping within India: usually 1 week to 10 days.
International shipping: usually 14 to 21 days.
Delays may occur due to bespoke production, product finishing, courier disruption, weather, public holidays, strikes, customs processes, address issues, failed delivery attempts, force majeure, or any event beyond the reasonable control of Vesper Rouge.

8. Delivery Address and Customer Responsibility

The customer is responsible for providing a complete, accurate, and serviceable delivery address at the time of placing the order.

Full name of recipient.
Complete address with building number, street, area, city, state, country, and postal code.
Correct phone number and email address.
Any necessary landmark, delivery instruction, or customs information.
Vesper Rouge shall not be responsible for delay, non-delivery, return to origin, additional courier charges, or loss arising from incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or misleading information provided by the customer.

9. Tracking and Delivery Communication

Once an order is dispatched, Vesper Rouge may share tracking details by email, SMS, WhatsApp, website account, or any other practical communication channel.

Tracking information may take time to update after courier handover. Customers are advised to monitor tracking updates and remain reachable at the phone number and email address provided at checkout.

10. Failed Delivery and Return to Origin

A delivery may fail due to customer unavailability, incorrect address, refusal to accept delivery, restricted delivery location, unpaid customs charges, failure to answer courier calls, or other customer-side issues.

If a shipment is returned to Vesper Rouge because of a failed delivery caused by the customer, Vesper Rouge may charge re-shipping costs, return costs, courier charges, storage charges, and other applicable costs before re-dispatching the order.

11. Damaged or Tampered Package at Delivery

If a package appears opened, torn, wet, crushed, resealed, tampered with, or visibly damaged at the time of delivery, the customer should refuse delivery where possible and immediately notify Vesper Rouge.

The customer must share photographs of the package, courier label, and delivery condition within 48 hours of attempted or completed delivery. Claims raised after this timeline may be rejected where verification is not possible.

12. Risk of Loss

Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon successful delivery to the address provided by the customer, subject to applicable law.

For international returns or shipments arranged by the customer, risk remains with the customer until the product is received by Vesper Rouge at its facility.

13. Force Majeure

Vesper Rouge shall not be liable for shipping delay or failure caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, fire, flood, pandemic, epidemic, war, civil unrest, government action, import or export restrictions, customs delays, labour disruptions, courier disruptions, payment gateway failure, internet failure, or raw material shortage.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Shipping Policy shall be governed by the laws of India.

Subject to applicable law, any dispute arising out of or in connection with shipping, delivery, dispatch, failed delivery, international shipment, or this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
